remedy for pimples...

How to Get Rid Of Pimples Fast

Pimples are normal skin condition that many people suffer from. This is a kind of inflammation of the skin where the sebaceous glands (oil glands) present on the skin get infected with bacteria, swell up, and get pus. Excessive sebum secretion by the oil glands is the main reason behind this problem. It generally occurs at face, neck, back and shoulders. Though not a critical condition, pimples can make the life of people miserable due to its appearance.
In the market there are a lot of lotions and medicines for the treatment of pimples but it can take time. However, there are many natural methods that are effective in treating pimples within a very short time period.
Here are top 10 ways to get rid of pimples fast.
  1. Ice

Ice can be used to quickly get rid of pimples as it helps in improving the blood circulation and in freezing the skin pores and removing the dirt and oil accumulated on the skin. You can either use ice cubes or crushed ice for the treatment as per your convenience. Take the ice and wrap it in a piece of cloth and then apply it on the affected skin area for a few seconds. Again repeat the process in a few minutes. When ice is used repeatedly on the pimples throughout the day, it helps in reducing the inflammation or swelling and will immediately soothe your skin.
  2. Lemon

Another quick way to get rid of pimples is the use of lemon juice. The Vitamin C present in the lemon helps the pimples to disappear quickly. When fresh lemon juice is applied on the pimples with the help of aclean cotton swab before going to bed, it helps the pimples to dry faster. For this remedy you need to use fresh lemon juice only and not the one having preservatives. Another option is to make a paste by adding one tablespoon of lemon juice to one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and then apply it on the pimples overnight. Next morning wash the skin properly with lukewarm water. However, this particular remedy is not suitable for those having sensitive skin.
  3. Honey

Honey is another natural ingredient that can help in getting rid of pimples very quickly. The antibiotics present in honey will fasten the healing process as well as it will help in preventing infection. Simply apply some honey directly on the affected area with the help of a clean cotton swab and leave for half an hour. Finally wash the skin properly with lukewarm water. Another option is to mix honey and cinnamon together to make a paste and then apply it over the pimples before going to bed. Next morning there will be less inflammation or swelling. Try to wash the skin properly with cold water.
  4. Toothpaste

The toothpaste that you use every morning to clean your teeth can also be used to treat pimples very fast. For the treatment of pimple you must use the white toothpaste and avoid using the gel one. Apply some white toothpaste over the affected skin area before going to bed. Next morning after washing your face with water you can notice a significant improvement in the swelling. If you wish you can even repeat the process in the day time also. But this remedy should be followed after the ice remedy. Also you must make sure that the toothpaste remains on the pimples for at least half an hour.
  5. Steam

Steaming is really good for your skin when you are suffering from pimples. When you take steam, your skin pores will open and allow your skin to breath. This will help the skin to get rid of oils, dirt and bacteria trapped in the skin pores which can even cause infection or inflammation. For steam therapy, take a large container and fill it with hot water and allow the steam to come in contact with your face for a few minutes. Finally rinse your face with lukewarm water and after drying your face apply some oil free moisturizer to help in maintaining the moisture level of your face. This treatment will also make you look brighter and give your complexion a lovely glow.
  6. Garlic

Garlic is an antiviral, antifungal, antiseptic and antioxidant agent that can help in the fast treatment of pimples. At the same time it also contains sulphur, which makes it very effective when used for pimple treatment. Take a fresh garlic clove and cut it into two pieces. Now rub the garlic on the pimples and leave it for five minutes before washing the skin with lukewarm water. When the process is repeated several times a day it helps the pimples to disappear quickly and that too without leaving ugly scars. On the other hand, eating one raw garlic clove daily can also help a lot as it helps in the purification of the blood. But it is recommended not to eat too much of raw garlic as it can upset the stomach.
  7. Baking Soda

Baking soda is an effective way to quickly get rid of pimples. Also as baking soda is free of harsh chemicals it will not cause any kind of skin irritation and even people having sensitive skin can also use it. Make a thick paste by mixing one teaspoon of baking soda with some water or lemon juice. Before applying the paste wash the skin properly to get rid of all the dirt. Now, apply the paste on your slightly damp skin and allow it to dry for a few minutes. Never keep baking soda on your skin for a longer time period as it can cause dryness. Finally wash the face with warm water and apply some moisturizer. Repeat the process twice a day for quick result.
  8. Peppermint

Peppermint is really a powerful herb that can help in getting rid of ugly pimples very fast. The calming and soothing effect of menthol present in peppermint help in reducing the irritation and redness caused by pimples. At the same time the antibacterial and antiviral properties present in peppermint help in killing the bacteria that causes the formation of pimples. Take some peppermint leaves and crush them to extract its juice. Now apply this juice gently on the pimples. Leave it for ten minutes before washing the skin with cold water. If fresh peppermint leaves are not available you can use peppermint oil, which contains a number of vitamins and essential fatty acids. Take two to three drops of peppermint oil and apply it over the pimples. Massage the oil for a few minutes and then rinse with water.
  9. Cucumber

Cucumber is a rich source of vitamins such as A, C, E and potassium that help in the treatment of pimples. At the same time the cooling and soothing effect of cucumber on the skin will also help a lot. Take one or two fresh cucumbers and cut them into pieces and soak them in water for about an hour. The nutrients, such as vitamin A, potassium and chlorophyll present in the cucumber will get transferred in the water. Strain the water and drink it. You can also use this water to wash your face. Else you can make a face mask by grinding one cucumber. Apply this mask on your face and allow it dry for fifteen minutes. Wash your skin with clean warm water. This treatment will help in cleaning the skin pores and taking out the dirt and bacteria present in the oil glands.
  10. Papaya

Papaya is a good source of vitamin A and an antioxidant vitamin which can help in the treatment of pimples. You can use the juice of raw papaya to treat pimples in natural manner and that too without any side effects. Crush the raw papaya pieces to extract its juice and then apply it over the pimples. The exfoliating capability present in papaya will remove the dead skin cells and your skin will become free of clogged pores. At the same time the enzymes present in papaya will help in reducing the inflammation and making your skin soft and smooth. At the same time you can also eat ripe papaya to get benefitted from various nutrients present in it.

TYPES OF SKIN

KNOW YOUR SKIN TYPE!!!!!

Skin types include normal, oily, dry, and sensitive. Some people also have a combination of skin types in different areas of their skin.
Your skin type can change over time. For example, younger people are more likely than older people to have a normal skin type.
Skin types vary depending upon factors such as:
  • Water content, which affects your skin's comfort and elasticity
  • Oil (lipid) content, which affects your skin's softness
  • Sensitivity level

Normal Skin Type

Normal skin is not too dry and not too oily. It has:
  • No or few imperfections
  • No severe sensitivity
  • Barely visible pores
  • A radiant complexion

Combination Skin Type

A combination skin type can be dry or normal in some areas and oily in others, such as the T-zone (nose, forehead, and chin). Many people have combination skin, which  may benefit from slightly different types of skin care in different areas.
Combination skin can produce:
  • Overly dilated pores
  • Blackheads
  • Shiny skin

Dry Skin Type

 Dry skin can produce:
  • Almost invisible pores
  • Dull, rough complexion
  • Red patches
  • Less elasticity
  • More visible lines
When exposed to drying factors, skin can crack, peel, or become itchy, irritated, or inflamed. If your skin is very dry, it can become rough and scaly, especially on the backs of your hands, arms, and legs.
Dry skin may be caused or made worse by:
  • Genetic factors
  • Aging or hormonal changes
  • Weather such as wind, sun, or cold
  • Ultraviolet (UV) radiation from tanning beds
  • Indoor heating
  • Long, hot baths and showers
  • Ingredients in soaps, cosmetics, or cleansers
  • Medications
Here are some tips for taking better care of dry skin:
  • Take shorter showers and baths, no more than once daily.
  • Use mild, gentle soaps or cleansers. Avoid deodorant soaps.
  • Don't scrub while bathing or drying.
  • Apply a rich moisturizer right after bathing. Ointments and creams may work better than lotions for dry skin but are often messier. Reapply as needed throughout the day.
  • Use a humidifier and don't let indoor temperatures get too hot.
  • Wear gloves when using cleaning agents, solvents, or household detergents.

Oily Skin Type

Oily skin can produce:
  • Enlarged pores
  • Dull or shiny, thick complexion
  • Blackheads, pimples, or other blemishes
Oiliness can change depending upon the time of year or the weather. Oily skin can be caused or made worse by:
  • Puberty or other hormonal imbalances
  • Stress
  • Exposure to heat or too much humidity
To take  care of oily skin:
  • Wash your skin no more than twice a day and after you perspire heavily.
  • Use a gentle cleanser and don't scrub.
  • Don't pick, pop, or squeeze pimples. This prolongs healing time.
  • Use products labeled as "noncomedogenic." They tend not to clog pores.

Sensitive Skin Type

If your skin is sensitive, try to find out what your triggers are so you can avoid them. You may have sensitive skin for a variety of reasons, but often it's in response to particular skin care products.
Sensitive skin can show up as:
  • Redness
  • Itching
  • Burning
  • Dryness

The Basics of Skin Care

These tips will help your skin stay healthier no matter its type.
  • Use a broad spectrum sunscreen that blocks both UVA and UVB rays. Avoid direct sunlight and wear a hat and sunglasses.
  • Don't smoke.
  • Stay hydrated.
  • Wash your skin thoroughly every day and never wear makeup to bed.
  • Moisturize your skin.
